16 Days of Halloween: Sounds of the Season

Posted on October 30, 2010

No we’re not talking those corney Christmas carols we’re talking music that fits the season. There’s so many pieces out there that translate well into Halloween. I can think of several classical pieces by Bach, Grieg and Tchaikovsky…here are few songs that inspire the spirit of the season:

1. The Witch Doctor

2. Monster Mash—Bobby “Boris” Picket

3. Purple People Eater—Sheb Wooley

4. Little Red Ridinghood—Sam the Sham

5. Funeral March of the Marionette (Alfred Hitchcok Theme)—

6. Haunted House—Jumpin Gene Simmons

7. Welcome to my Nightmare—Alice Cooper

8. Cry Little Sister—theme from Lost Boys

9. GhostBusters—Ray Parker Jr

10. This is Halloween

11. Dragula—Rob Zombie

12. American Witch

13. And since it’s almost Halloween why not lucky #13? Ozzy Osbourne’s Let me Hear you Scream:

Tomorrow’s the BIG DAY!!! I’ll be back with some treats to share with y’all!
